  • Wideband installed... 9.8afr under boost :)

As the title says I got my wideband working today and when i start boosting it basically pins at 9.8... normal driving it bounces around between 19 and 12 spending most of it's time 14-15 but when the boost starts building over 2 psi it pins at 9.8.

The pe tables and tune are based on a GTP since I installed the 36lb injectors, so i knew it would be a bit rich.

Here's the weird part... a few weeks ago when i put the injectors on I just took the vacuum lines off the fmu but left it installed. I could get 9psi boost when the new injectors went on. Since then i haven't really tested the car but today with the fmu completely removed and the return fuel line reattached I can only get up to 6psi of boost. So my one question is does the fmu partially or completely close when there's no vacuum? I know it closes under boost, but what about when the car is off? Perhaps having it there but not connected to the vacuum line was keeping more pressure on the fuel rail? I noticed that when I disconnected the inline fuel pump I could only get up to 7psi, but with it on under boost i could get 9psi.

    Thoughts?

Viper... how should I start to take fuel out of the tune to lean it out... start with the maf?

So 50psi is good for boosting? When i had the fmu it was over 90, but without it was around 50 and steady.

Well, had a minute effect... it's now reading 10.3. I put another wideband on yesterday and it read pretty much the same(was stuck in the tailpipe so should read a tad differently)... so now that I have my pe commanding 12.50 instead of 11. Should I keep raising that or one suggestion was to lean out the maf above 8000hz in 5% increments??

i would stick with PE.......... work base up to 13.000 and use the add vs rpm talbe to add or take out more fuel

Today I put the MAF back to stock values, set the PE to 12.000 and I think it's better... the wideband wasn't pinned at 9.8 any more... it mostly in the 11's, but it still waivered around a lot :( Is that normal even when you're at WOT?

The temp was nuts...IAT was 110+ so I was getting some knock and i shut it down. HOpefully will have a cool night in the next few days to test more.
