i am installing my turbo kit and i am a little confused as to which of the 2 fuel lines i am supposed to hook up to. A. the one closer to the front which is the bigger fuel line or B. the one that has the smaller fuel line. And where exactly am i supposed to hook up the vacuum line to? if any one has a good picture that would be great! you can email it to me at ma_duece@hotmail.com
And are there any tricks to keep them from leaking besides using the clamps alone?
Hook up to the smaller line, which is the return line to the tank. Up to 98, there is a vacuum port on the left side of the TB with a black boot over it feeding vacuum to the EVAP system. 99+ I believe there is a similar boot on the front side of a module on the left side of the intake, further towards the back of the motor. You can connect to vacuum at either of these locations.

ok got everything hooked up and the car is running rough and i cant make any boost i had to pull out the arm on the actuator to get it to hook up to the arm on the exhasut side of the turbo. this doesnt seem correct. plus when i try to drive it will barely move any ideas

Yes i have a msd hi volume fuel pump. At idle i read like 12psi of vacuum and as i throttle up it goes to about 20 but not registering any boost.Where is the boost gauge supposed to be tied in at? I have mine hooked to the same line as the fmu on the side of the throttle body. Well i just went out and rechecked everything i made one of the biggest noob mistakes i had the plug wires in the wrong order no it at least idles but still no boost and at idle the turbo stops spinning this is really becomiing a headache
at idle the turbo isnt really suposed to spin. Once in a while u might see it move here and there but thats about it. at idle a turbo will not build boost, it needs to be in drive (it needs a load) to build boost. What size turbo do you have??

Ding... are you just revving and trying to make boost? Fix your plug wires and drive the car and tell us what happens.

you have a t3/t4 so it should start spooling pretty low in the rpms....my guess is it starts to spool at like 2300-2900???
