  • What you guys think about this type of superchargers setup?

    Hi everyone.

I was looking around for some article in horse power TV and I came across this type of supercharge company call squires turbo system. It look like this company is going to have a universal system coming out soon. I was think would this setup work for our cars? Here is a article from super Chevy. They are installing a supercharger on a LT1.

i think someone on here or the other board has an sts kit on their v6. i cant belive your just hearing about this now? theres quite a few people ( probally 30 or more) on ls1tech.com that have the kits on and tuned and already have dyno #'s and track times up. people have mixed feelings, but from what ive seen, they dont work that bad considering the concept seems stupid on paper.

Easy loser (hmmm, that didn't sound right), he is somewhat new to the V6 F-body. CMboyd has this system and he sent me lots of pics of how he did the set up. But damn virus ruined my laptop and I lost his pictures.

Anyway he did get the car running good but he did have major issues with it.

Turbo is a type of Supercharger so you got it right. ;)

With a little modding, shouldn't you be able to fit the LT1 kit to a V6? That's what I was hoping to do once I get some $$

Did you finance the turbo kit, and what type of modding you need to do so it could fit on a v6?

Re: What you guys think about this type of superchargers setup?

Everyone knows that no one actually makes a kit for the v6 so I say a payable v6 turbo kit is kinda good for us but for the modifying just get the ls1 kit if you have the ls1 body or what not tell rick that you have a v6 and they will give a better turbo. I have the gt35mm turbo with the bigger a/r cause I know when the motor gets rebuilt then I am going to spool alot faster then i would. You must modify the intake piping because we have something in are way to be able to run the pipe up to the intake but not a big deal at all a bend in one place and its done. I have everything like the ls1 kit but like the v8 I am going to modify it some more of course. I am going to finish the tune on the car, put a FMIC on it and going to tune it some more and run the oil return line into the oil pan instead of the oil plug on top.....I paid the same has a regular ls1 kit is worth but with alot more extras like upgraded turbo, meth injection and EBC. Anymore questions
