Re: Turbonetics T-70 Ceramic Ball Bearing
don't know what he has, I have an M5 '94 3.4
what I'm wondering is what I would need to do to my engine to get it to around 300hp.
the engine: currently 120,680 miles (overhauled at 99K) no leaks, though I need to change the o2 sensors (I have them, and will change them shortly). pretty clean engine, aside from the dust
yet I realize I should probably get a compression test done, and have the tranny inspected, before I set any serious goals, and put the plan in motion; I may just get another car to put it on.

Re: Turbonetics T-70 Ceramic Ball Bearing
mine is A4, and wiht all my mods will spool just fine I am sure. As far as 300 hp, you are looking at bigger injectors, cam, and really that and 10-15 psi will already put you over the 300 mark. the guy I bought my turbo kit from was runninga t3/t4 at 15 psi on a completely stock motor BUT had race gas. He put down 359 rwhp. So pump gas, injectors, a cam or rockers and some boost will put you over.

If you are using an A4 then amongst the mods mentioned you never stated stall? (forgive me if you did)...at any rate, with the size of the housing, the heads and cam package and the comp. wheel; you will definately need a stall converter looser than ~35XXRPM...THE ORIGINAL 3800SII turbo...NOW SERIES-III

Re: Turbonetics T-70 Ceramic Ball Bearing
by spool I mean the time it takes or rather rpm range to get that turbo making its max PSI as controled by the wastegate and BC. As far as the stall, I havent listed one cause I am still trying to decide on the right one for my application, and it does seem like the 3600 is what it will be.

So is this a street car...drag car or attempting to do both duties!?? I ask because you will need a compromise somewhere in between. Did StaT2 get you the turbo also? You should call and find out what the recommended stall should be...I guess more importantly; it will be based on how the first set of questions is/will be answered...
