  • what should I go.

I have a 97 camaro rs, and have full cold air intake, tb spacer, full msd ignition, pace setter headers, magnaflow cat, & flow master exhaust, and I'm thinking of puting a supercharger or a turbocharger on, but would like to know which is better and what the hp gains would roughly be?

Depends on what your goal is. Both FI have done really well on the track. Both Andrew and Jenn have gotten into the low 12. Ironman24 and JohnD did 13.6 with the Powerdyne alone and Shirl did 11.8 with the combo of PD and NO2.

But Turbo does produce more hp and tq than SC due to the absence of parasitic lost.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both of them. SC is easier to install and reliable than turbo. Turbos biggest advantage is its ability to produce more boost than SC.

sc's advantage is little to no lag (if lag is a problem) and advantage of being cheaper sometimes

My goal is to have a v6 camaro and make some good hp & tq, as well as make some decent #'s on the track, I'd like to have my #'s in the low 12's high 11's.

lag lol come ride in my car when its running again and tell me what you think about lag :naughty:

most turbo also push more air the the SC kits that are out there....... and after installed are just as reliable as the supers are......

any fi car should look over the motor bay every 2 weeks (after everything is good) and look at bolts and stuff check them...... ect ....

it suck blowing a pipe off at 17 psi

          kinda sounds like

          BOOOM
only thing i see you need is like LSD........ dont get gears unless you your going turbo or sc.........

do you have auto or M5?

yea, i know you have no turbo lag (even with a big turbo, as you have). I remember your old avatar/pic. Its just that you want the quickest 60 foot you can get.

your choice I say....both the powerdyne, custom turbo kit, cusotmer procharger kit or I would say hope my STS kit....Doesnt really matter what you will pick each of these will give really performance upgrade and can hit 12s...just depends how far you are willing to go into the 12s?
