alright guys I am almost all set to go with my turbo install. Now I will not be able to do it myself since I cant weld, and really dotn know anyone around here who can. Did anyone have their trubo kit professionally installed and if so, how much did you pay for the install I am trying to get a good idea.

Re: Turbo Install Cost
I would love to, it would save a lot, but...
1) the exhaust side has no flange for my wastegate
2) I wouldnt know exactly how to run the oil feed/return lines
3) Its an FFF kit minus the turbo and wastegate, which needs to be modded to fit my pacesetters.
I am just assuming install time to be at 5-10 hours, I know that is pretty broad.

Re: Turbo Install Cost
Instead of gettign the FFF kit, you shoulda had a good shop make all the piping for you.
To make it fit on the pacesetter headers, you are going to have to remake pretty much all the exhaust pipings. And the piping that goes from the turbo to the intercooler.1997 Camaro Y87. Turbo.
Pure Octane Racing

Re: Turbo Install Cost
I have a friend in Jacksonville FL he owns a shop and does custom turbos all the time. he said average 4-5K for a single turbo, and 9-10K for twin. and there will always be customization even if you get a kit designed for your car with all the parts. cause they never fit perfectlyDrive it like I stole it

Re: Turbo Install Cost
ok here is my latest thought...what if....I set up the system myself using exhaust clamps (now wait before you start yelling at me) run the system at like 1-2psi as low as possible, take it up to a shop and have it welded in there?
