Just wanted to know what people would do.. would you rather go with a turbo charger which is currently comming soon... from cartunning.. (3800performance.com) or a supercharger from rk sport.. the turbo kit is way cheaper but the supercharger is less work to bolt on.. also has any one found any other turbos for the 99 firebird 3.8L except for what i have found in 3800performance???

Re: SC vs. TC ????
for me its turbo all the way, they are far more efficent than a S/C, and are capable of higher boost levels.
dont hold your breath for the car tuning kit, it has been "coming soon" for well over a year. force-fed-fabrications.com makes the only turbo kits for our cars.
Turbo kits are a bit more work like you said, but once you get thru upgrading some internals they can be a lot of fun.

Re: SC vs. TC ????
Turbo is my one true love. However, I'm doing a S/C just because I don't want much out of it and don't want to go through the hassle installing the turbo.00\' firebird v6 5spd<br />201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq<br />\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"<br />WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk

....fuel injectors, and fuel pump FOR SURE! there is no "safe" level of boost technically, our cars were not made for boost. But with a fuel management unit, and otherwise stock internals 5 psi should be a good setting for you.

Re: SC vs. TC ????
i have been running 4 psi daily with my turbo. Once my injectors come in, i will be at 8 psi daily and 10 for race day....i have stock internals on mine. As long as you arent boosting with more then 10 PSi and you arent running lean, Stock pistons and rods should do fine.Juiced Rally Red 98 A4<br /><br />Way too much to list....<br /><br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2263415\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2263415</a>

Re: SC vs. TC ????
Tuning is your friend. If you've got it tuned, you should be able to run 8 street/10track easily. (Tuning it may require new parts, ie: injectors, ect to get it where you want it but nothing internal)00\' firebird v6 5spd<br />201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq<br />\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"<br />WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk
