  • Going with 3" after intercooler pipes

The bend in the intake pipe for my FFF kit has been giving me nothing but problems. So, I'm thinking about getting one of those intercooler piping kit from eBay and redoing my whole piping. And I notice that the 3" piping kit and the 2.5" piping kits are the same price. The FFF kit came with a 2.5" intake piping. What would be the advantage/disadvantage of going with the 3" pipe? Since the throttle body is 3", I thought maybe this would give it a better MAF sensor readings. But air velocity would suffer wouldn't it? Anything else?

going with 3" would be disadvantage only. The diameter of your intercooler piping should be equal to the compressor.
