  • Do need to do the throttle body pvc bypass?

    Hi.

I just brought a turbo kit from Perry, so I'm starting to set thing up before I get it. Viper04af already recommend me to buy the TR6IX spark plugs so they are in the to buy list. Also do I really need to do throttle body pvc bypass mod to run a 5-7 psi turbo set up? You guys already know what I'm talking about, but here is the link any. http://home.comcast.net/~grayman99/TB-PCV.htm. I'm new comer to the FI so I'm really excited to do this my self so any recommendation you guys have feel free to share it with me.

    Thanks a whole lot.

you don't want to stick a turbo or SC on your Naturaly Aspirated engine without first converting the engine to run Forced Induction.

yes, you need to plan on doing the PCV mod. If you don't do that mod you will presurize the INTERNAL block with positive boost. think about it.

good luck with your project. g

No. That serves a different purpose. Blowoff values open only when the throttle plate closes and pressure needs to be let out of the intake track. The pcv bypass prevents boosted intake from getting into the block and vents the normal crankcase pressure though another means than into the TB.
