  • got back from the dyno

245 rwhp, and i cant remember the TQ, i think like 238 or so.

Around what i expected, maybe a little lower than i wanted though. I had 183 rwhp before the supercharger, so thats a 62 rwhp add, so im happy with it. the base tune (before any tuning) got me 125 hp. so tuning it helped me out about 20 hp. At the shop, we modified the discharge tubing to be one straight metal pipe from the intake to blower instead of using the orange mcmaster tubing. while using the mcmaster tubing, i only dynoed 231 rwhp until we modified the pipe and tightening the belt. I move into campbell college today but when i move in next week I will post the dyno graph as well as the pictures of my setup! i hope to take it to the track this fall once i start getting some cooler weather. im praying for a high 13. at least a low 14. who knows! i was a 14.8 before the blower. so who knows.. i love the way my car feels now. pulls really strong all the way thru the gears.

Re: got back from the dyno

did you lock the tranny in 3rd gear for the pulls ? did you lock the TC for the pulls?

you can do both via HP Tuners

locking the TC is an easy 10-25 RWHP

not bad number for 6 psi thats 10 HP for every 1psi boost

For hptuners, do you just go to the scanner, then vcm controls, trans, A4 gear select?

                    Then just pick 3rd?

When I did a dyno run, I just slightly went on the gas till the instructer gave me the go sign to hammer it.

Re: got back from the dyno

wow ok a lot of questions.

im running a 6psi pulley with 342 gears/LSD. its a rebuilt auto. dyno was done on a dynojet, and yes locked in 3rd gear. i have no plans for a cam yet, and definately my motor is never going to be sprayed with n20. a cam would be nice, but im out of money. my next mod will be a $125 9psi pulley, to pick up roughly 25 more hp. :)

what do you guys predict for the ET of my car? before the blower i was running 14.8-15.0.

"nitrous is like a hot girl with STDs. you want to hit it, but youre scared of the consequences". haha. i dont want to endanger my motor.

as for the wheels, no. no more smoke. haha. if anything it hooks better now cuz i had lca relocation brackets welded in.
