as for the wheels, no. no more smoke. haha. if anything it hooks better now cuz i had lca relocation brackets welded in.
Why not put on protection and worry about the consequences later haha just playing. Is your motor rebuilt? I see you care about your motor as I do mine but speed is just addicting. I want to add some horsepower to my car but 1 month later I don't want my motor yanked out because it couldn't handle it. Powerdyne might just be the right way to go for me or nitrous because I don't plan on using it a lot and its cheaper

Superchargers are just as dangerous (or safe) as nitrous when used/installed/tuned improperly or the right supporting mods are not done. ;)

Nice numbers, you could probably gain a bit more with some better tuning.

Re: got back from the dyno

yea showdown is right. and trust me it took a while to get all the other supporting mods/tuning/whatnot done for the s/c.

ericv6: no i dont have a rebuilt motor. i have 100% stock internals with 85k on the engine.

          airattack111: i had good tuning. :)

ssms5411: i dont know about the timing, but it took a few hours of tuning to straighten it out. my A/f ratios you will see better once i post up the dyno sheet in the next day or two.

the only thing that is left is that new pulley for christmas, since... im broke.

is this guy a member here check out his supercharged v6 camaro with 275 horsepower on a 6lb pulley http://www.cardomain.com/ride/357388

I bet his car would keep up with a stock z28. I love checking out v6 camaros with added power whether its nitrous turbochargers or a lot of boltons

Re: got back from the dyno

the timing was corrected and then tuned even more.

ericv6: i havent seen him around here, and i bet you that 275 number is a guess, but who knows, it might even be with the 9 lb pulley. there was a guy on ftv6.com that ran 269 but he didnt know what pulley it was but he thought it was 6. oh well, im happy with what i got. the 9 lb pulley is coming soon enough anyways.

what are your guesses on ETs???

Glad to hear you got it up and running good Dave. Your car should have about the same power mine does, maybe a bit less. But you have much better suspension work and that stout tranny for the strip. I ran a 14.14 my first time out to the track, and I'd expect you to tie or barely beat that. Maybe a high 13.9 but you'll just have to go and find out. Maybe one day I'll get mine to the dyno and we'll have something more concrete to compare. Glad its up and running thou!

hmmm, just consider them slicks then. :)

yea as far as ET's go that could be something that would cripple it.

Re: got back from the dyno

yea i can still hook up pretty good though. i havent had any trouble "off the line" on the street. so who knows. i might just go ahead and get that 9psi pulley on there in the next month or so, go back to the dyno, and then to the track. its only 120 bucks for the pulley from aspracing.com, and i would be able to sell my barely used 6psi ribbed pulley that i bought from them to someone online probably.

you were using 110 octane though. at the time of my dyno, i was running MOSTLY (prolly 80%) of 93 octane, and a little leftover regular 87. that might have something to do with it. what was your base tune? mine was 225. then they tuned it up 20 HP. i was only hitting 3 psi when we started, tightened the belt and changed my discharge tubing around a little and then i was hitting 5 psi when i had the 245 run.

also, a few questions.. where did they put the wideband o2 sensor? do you have a cutout? was it open or closed? i know you have a FMU, i did.. but when they tuned my car, they took it off. i ran with an open cutout, and the wideband 02 sensor was in the cutout.

Re: got back from the dyno

My last dyno before I got rid of the powerdyne was 288hp and 330 tq that was with a 2.6" pulley running around 8-9 psi belt was slipping, also with the VS cam and about 11 deg. of timing air /fuel was 11.5. my first dyno with the fmu was 281hp/303tq. I never did get to the dyno after the 928 racing rebuild, broke the 3rd gear in the tranny.I'm runnung nitrous now with a 125 dry shot, thinking of going to a 150 shot when a get it dynoed.
                                good luck dmw319
