I was curious if anyone has polished their powerdyne headunit to get that thing looking shiny instead of paying the extra money for the polished version? If so does it shine up pretty easily or did it take awhile? I have a satin one coming in the mail and thought about doing it.

Re: Polishing powerdyne headunit
I don't know... mine was already polished. You'd probably have to sand it smooth and take a buffer with compound to it, then polish it by hand. It'll be many hours of work.2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

Re: Polishing powerdyne headunit
Yeah, I put a good 8 hours into sanding down and smoothing out an already pre-polished unit, and then repolishing it. I'm sure if you start with the rough satin headunit you'll be in for quite a journey. It'd definitely help to have air tools, maybe die grinder or dremel with sanding discs, etc.\'98 Camaro V6
Appearance... pleasing
Performance... just a little extra air.
