maybe so, but why risk it? id much rather just have someone put new rods and pistons in than i would have to replace the entire motor if something gives. think of it as preventive maintence. in the long run i think you'd be better off having it done now rather than wait for something to **** up and have to replace the ENTIRE motor.

look at all the turbo cars around here, most have gone through at least one motor shooting for that 500hp ring. malice has been through i think 3 motors and viper is on his second now, and linxs is on i think his second motor also.

Alright so you have me seriously thinking about this now, but the only possible way it is going to happen is if I do it myself, I am not going to pay out my *** to have someone do this for me. So I am gonna need like 2-4 guys form here to fly out to Milwaukee and assist me with this build.

lol. im just giving my view on it. id rather be safe than sorry. no reason to pour all your money into the thing and it be toast after having it a week. learn from the other guys mistakes.

Yeah I was questioning the 500HP on a stock bottom end.
Whats the point of dynoing 500HP if you can use it?

I kind of want him to try it just to see how long it lasts.

cause even if it did hit 500, DD 500 hp is not practical. If I were to gut everything out and go forger forged forged, I would still keep DD to around 400 hp tops. I really thought the stock bottom end could handle a few shots of heavy power, but now I guess probably not. I have no idea how, but I guess I am going to have to gut the bottom end.

if your local college or high school are anything like the ones around here... i wouldnt trust em, just cuz most of the time they are so friggin ignorant. at my high school 2 years ago they took apart a 4 cylinder cavalier engine to find out the problem with it, put it back together then sold it to a local woman.

this ended badly for her when the car caught fire going down the road.

i have no idea WTF happened.

Yea I didnt waste my time calling a HS, I went for the area tech colleges, but NONE are willing take on a project like this, What I may do is just install everything and run low boost till winter hits, then garage it, and build up a shortblock in the mean time. I think thats the plan for now.

stall will not get good 60's with the turbo go over 4000 at least mine is 4400 stall now

goign to need at least MT Dr's

L36 can run 9's with stock bottom end. YOU CAN NOT FU(CK UP THE TUNE OR IT WILL MELT THE PISTONS. KR/LEAN it and they will chip

1. NEVER EVER count on the meth to add fuel...... you can boost more or turn up the timing

2. i DD'ed my car only reason its down is a defective valve, i was accualy at 18 psi before the motor went

3. I say run the bottom end untill it pops save or slowy buy parts for a rebiuld

Yea, the kit is done, Tiago said the headers still need to be milled tho, I jsut posted pics of my turbo in the lounge.
