i know this question has been asked before but all i can find is an snswer related to the powerdyne. I just put on the FFF turbo kit w/ FMU stock injectors, whalbro 255, msd dis 4, msd wires, blaster coils. My question is how much boost can i run safely without a timing retard controller like the crane or MSD one. Everything i have read says 6-7 PSI is the safe amount without a timing retard controller, but this was stated for a non intercooled powerdyne. Now since i have a FFF with intercooler and from what i have heard turbos tend to flow more CFM. Also in relation to this what would be the max for my stock injectors. I bought the zeitronix wideband with boost and egt. so i guess i could just push it till i see that i'm running lean, but i would rather not.

Re: safe boost level?
or as much as your internals desire, you will blow a head gasket or snap a rod, chip a piston, break a crank even. I think the most anyone has ever run on the 3800 is 17-18 psi. with forged rods and pistons.
