98 v6 looking to use a turbo. mostly stock. looking to double the power, roughly speaking or thereabouts. what are some thoughts on good turbos? thumbed through reviews for viper's masterpower (?) and most said it had lots of lag until 2800. not sure if i want a smaller one with less power or that one. not looking to upgrade the rest of the motor.

I researched awhile back on this topic, my best suggestion is search the site. There are several extremely knowledgeable people on here that have previously posted on the topic, many of whom would be willing to answer any additional questions you may have left over after searching. I think UDLOSE is working on a pretty killer setup and viper is legendary on here look for posts with them in it. -

I cant erally speak on either turbo, ha. I just finished building my motor, and then spun a bearing...
my turbo is a T-70 ceramic BB Turbonetics, which I am more than sure I will love, but I cant say how much yet. I know that I couldnt find a better one on the market than this one so I am more than looking forward to running with it in my new motor next spring.Comment

(puking face) over 1,500. but I am hoping it will be a vital part of my motor making it over 500-550 hp. Its a ceramic BB turbo, so I expect to see good boost by low 3000ish rpms.Comment
