  • Question about fuel pump and fuel injectors.

    Hi boys and girls.

I finally decided to install my turbo on my 01 Camaro. My questions are: what is a good size injectors to run a 7-10 psi; also what is a good intank fuel pump that would hold the same psi?

    Thanks.

Re: Question about fuel pump and fuel injectors.

go with the walbro intank 255lph fuel pump. zzperformance.com has the cheapest price for it, the universal one that you need is like 125 there.

Re: Question about fuel pump and fuel injectors.

your 2000+ year v6 vehicle requires modifications to the fuel rail as well as the electrical connectors in order to run bosch type injectors. you have some reading ahead of you.

I really didn't want to start another thread just to ask this question...

Does anybody have a formula or something that I could calculate what size injectors I need for a certain hp/tq/boost/whatever level for the 3.8?

Hey for 7 to 10 psi, do you need injectors if you have a FMU or i guess when do you use a FMU? kinda confused on that.

I beleive you either use your stock injectors + FMU + pump, or get bigger injectors + pump + tuning because you have to tune to even be able to run the bigger injectors anyway.

Bigger injectors + tuning is safer than using the stockers and the FMU.
