why is it our sixes can only handle 10 psi whereas the import sixers are up to 35? are our motors really that brittle? sorry if this is a newb question :spank:

Nissan 350z with 11:1 can only handle 5psi. They're really pushing it if they go higher.
Ours can handle 14psi without any changes to the internals. As long as fuel is adequate.
Skyliners and Supras can go up to 30psi.
Fastest LT1 with forged everything did 46psi Turbo.
Fastest LS1 with forged everything did 42psi with F1 ATi.

So if i knew that i was going to to F/I later on would it be better if i took an engine out of a GTP?

why 30? the fastes car are only running 25 psi and are running mid 9's....... why 25 you have any idea how much that would cost? $30K at leastwww.turbov6camaro.com

first off you can take a morot out of a GTP, I am working on that projects right now.
Secondly 30 psi on our motors just isnt going to happen, the heads gasket would not come close to handling that much boost. thats to say you have forged everything.
