Well like I said, I think i'd rather wait for the turbo. Good things come to those that wait. :) I've spent alot of time researching with my father what I wanted to do with my bird next and this is what I decided on. I could have easily turned around, sold my car, and gotten a Trans Am. But down the road I would have been screwed by insurance, not to mention the fact that a V6 being turbo'd is alot more unique than just buying a big block.
All we are waiting on now is Tiago's agreement on a contract my dad made and then from there comes the fun.
for overall reliablity s/c, for pure speed, turbo, for the money, the giggle gas.
the benefit of the s/c is you can go and buy a nice kit and have it to you pretty quick. the turbos seem to be more time consuming to get but the results kick ***.
depending on 'when' your '02 was built you may need to swap in the fuel regulator from an earlier year. get one for 2001 v6 fbody for example. latter half of '02 used different fuel pressure regulater than earlier years. (I am 99% sure from research that this is the deal with the rksport sc kit not being listed as compatible with the '02 models)
everything else in the 99-01 kit will fit and work perfectly with your 2002.
back to my claim of being 99% sure.... install the kit, all of it. install your gauges...fuel pressure gauge being the most important of them all and not to be skipped. when doing your first test runs with the new powerdyne keep track of the fuel pressure gauge. do some semi full throttle runs. as you build ANY positive boost the fmu that comes with the kit should increase the fuel pressure dramaticaly (6/1 ratio) if this is not happening then don't floor the engine all the way until you get the fuel system figured out. if this is the case while testing then it could be that you have the different 'fuel pressure regulator' or my 1% not sure...a different type of fuel pump. that means in a worse case scenario you may have to change not only the fuel pressure regulatar (easy/affordable) but the fuel pump as well. (not too expensive....not to hard either...with the trunk access panel mod.)
good luck. g

I just gotta ask, who exactly are you directing this too? If its me, mines an '01 and i've already decided against the BS RKSport S/C. If its someone else, whoever it may be he/she is not the original topic starter, I am.
I see J1avs asked the question about the 2002 compatibility. Maybe he found my reply in this HELP FORUM to be helpful.
Nevermind, though. I think I will just stay out of your BS threads.
BS threads? Well if thats the way you want to view them then go right ahead, thats ur right to speech. But I gotta ask, how much did that Powerdyne honestly get you in power on its own? The lack of reviews on the damned thing makes me skeptical if its even worth it. I know it has an upgradable 9 psi pulley drive but I haven't heard anything on its performance either. With all the BS arrising about FFF and their kits, its making me take a second glance.
The entire FI arguement is old and tired. Its full off alot of bleeding asses and butt hurt people. If you want a supercharger buy a supercharger, I am and I am even a HUGE supporter of turbos and think they are superior. If you want a turbo, buy a turbo. If you don't know enough about either of them to make a near intelligent remark then shut the hell up and go do some research.
