  • mixed thoughts on bov setup

    well i am getting alot of mixed thoughts on how you should run the blowoff valve with are cars. should i just vent it off into the air, or should i vent it back into the intake tube because of the maf? i just dont know can you help me

    are you auto or manual?

    also how far are you on this project, what parts do you have?

      am auto, i the parts i have
      block,pistons,rods,turbo, wastegate,stuff for headers/piping,and just some other small stuff, i am looking at a bov right now, but i am looking to just put the turbo setup on my car right now and get all the bugs worked out so if something goes worng it wount hurt my motor built for boost:eek:

        If it were me, I would get a standard BOV instead of a recirculating BOV, you arent going to have much back pressure as it is.

        What kind fo turbo, pistons, rods, wastegate did you go with?

          l32 rods, the dimond 8.1 pistons, the trubo is a precision GT3255E. its what the buick 3.8 guys use alot. the waste gate is one that percision said to go with

              yea i hope so.... but i want this thing to be in the mid to low 11's, i know thats going to take alotof work,and tuning is going to be fun.....:drool: but i dont see why it cant happen. i am looking for a bov that lest people know i am there so i can set the hook when i need to. and that will be the only tipoff that i am going to give people. its going to look like a stock v6

                a BOV is a pretty big tip off.

                And mid 11's....yep you are gonna have some more work ahead of you, high 11's are my goal this spring.

                        I have heard of them, but never heard their BOV actually discharge, I am sure it will be plenty loud tho.
