I just had a turbo installed on my 2000 V6 camaro .. it has around 107,000 miles and and im building alot of crank case psi do to the lack of rings. its blowing my seals out causing leaks. i plan on doing rings but for a temp fix i was wondering if anyone knew of a pcv system to evacuate the crankcase pressure or should i just use a messy breather. thanx kurtis

Re: Wondering about To much crank case psi? with out having rings?
most just use a valve cover breather and plug the pcv hole in the tb. Do you have a breather that screws into the oil cap tube or the one that screws directly into the valve cover?

suggestion: you missed this mod in your research. A turbo is a SERIOUS thing. You may want to continue doing research on this subject becuase you own the car and drive it everyday. You also payed to have the turbo isnstalled. no two are exactly the same when it is a custom job. Learn all you can becuase your installers may not have done everything correctly...even if they are pros. they did not modify your PCV system...case in point.
Good luck with the ride.

Re: Wondering about To much crank case psi? with out having rings?
100% agreed with the comment above...i went through the same thing
i installed my turbo kit myself, but before i did it, and while i was doing it i did all the research i could. I did the crankcase breather also. But later on while the turbo and everyting was on my car blew a throttle body gasket, causing coolant to get in my oil when i was boosting...this blew my car up...
i then brougt it to the shop and had a new motor put in. They told me, if they installed the turbo kit with the motor they would give me a full year warrenty on the motor with the turbo installed so i said hell yah thats a deal...so they went through it, installed the new motor with the whole turbo kit. About a week later, i realized i was leaking oil out from the bottom of my motor. Come to find out, they werent educated enough about custom turbo kits and they didnt block my new PVC valve in my throttle body and i blew a rear main seal. Luckily for me, its covered under warrenty, sucks for them tho...their problem, their fix....
always research untill your brain hurtsJuiced Rally Red 98 A4<br /><br />Way too much to list....<br /><br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2263415\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2263415</a>
