I can't remember who it was I saw a video for on this website........
But, they had the Powerdyne SC and I'm pretty sure they had the 3.8. Well, I was just at Powerdyne's website and it says they only make an SC for the 5.7L Firebird. Will this fit the 3.8 or do I need to look somewhere else for a 3.8L Powerdyne Kit?
Any and all help on this will be greatly appreciated.
I just asked my wife if I could spend 4k on an SC and she said, "No way in hell. Unless we're divorced"
So, I have to go pay for a divorce, so I can buy it. :) J/K. I will just have to throw money away into my bank account she doesn't know about, little by little so she doesn't notice any missing. So, I will have 4k in about a year and a half.
I was telling a few people tonight that I will be putting a Powerdyne SC on my car down the road a little ways and they started telling me that they have heard nothing but bad things about Powerdyne and I shouldn't waste my money on that crap.
I told them, according to other f-body owners with this SC they give me good reviews. The main guy that was telling me this has a turbo'd Cobra Mustang. I didn't even think to ask him if he was talking from experience or word of mouth, but I will see him tomorrow night, so I guess I will bring the subject back up. He had mentioned not to go with Powerdyne, but instead go with Vortec.
I have never heard of Vortec SC's, are they any good, do they make them for 3.8's? (I will do some searching on that, but links and opinions are welcome)
In the mean time, can anyone that has or had a Powerdyne SC please tell me that these Ford guys are idiots and they were wrong?
Powerdyne/RK Sport are the only companies who make sc for the 3.8. Of course you could custom fabricate a Vortech or Procharger (Pathogen did), all it takes is time and a lotta money.
Search, search, search and search some more. The Powerdyne/RK Sport kits have been discussed 884563454786967 times on this site. If you type in "Powerdyne" I guarentee you will bring up 7-8 pages of threads about it.
Oh yeah, tell those Ford guys to S your D, the Powerdyne on the 3.8 is pretty bada$$ and many people have gotten impressive gains with it. Remember, the current 3.8 fbody 1/4 mile record holder runs one.
