    Re: twin turbo?

street or strip viper's car is still really impressive and that is what i was getting at... but somehow i am not making myself clear. regardless of how well the TT car does, viper still is friggin fast. then the whole street legal part of it just makes it better. wooptie do if you can trailer a car to a track and run a 7 second quarter. lets see ya drive it home. thats what im getting. vipers car is still one heck of a car.

    do we all understand now?

      Re: twin turbo?

I have a pretty similar goal to Viper, and he hit it right on the money. These are two completely different types of cars. I built mine in my garage with my own acquired parts, same as viper. I have no sponsorship and I know Andy's really doesnt help out that much either. Im proud of what I've done, he's done, and what Intense is done. This is clearly gonna be one hell of aheavy hitter and in the future I would like a car like this, (non 3800) but a track only car. For now I need to DD my camaro. Either way, in my eyes, what viper, intense, myself, and everyone else with large turbo, n20 and NA builds is all equally impressive, the cars just happen to fall into different categories. With that said, congrats to intense on their shake down times which are sick, and here's to seeing you guys in the 8's by seasons end.

For a daily driven street car, his is plenty fast. I hope you accomplish your goal Viper.
thats what my point was. you cant say viper is still ahead because the 2 cars have different purposes. comparing the 2 is rediculous.

rdrr96 i get what youre saying, i was just pointing out the obvious flaw in your first statement from the way you wrote it. andrews car is very impressive, dans will be too when he finally works the bugs out. hell it makes me jealous.

tims car will be pretty much the spotlight car of the v6 fbody world to show what a all out built 3800 drag car can do and hopefully shut all the naysayers(ls1 owners first and foremost) mouths finally. could you imagine if the fastest fbody in the world was a v6?! im a v8 owner and id love to see that for the v6 community.

              Re: twin turbo?

I decided to take the firebird to NTR today to see if I got my charge pipe problem fixed. We decided to be conservative being that it would be it's first full pass so we ran wastegate pressure only,"10 lbs springs" the the boost controller at 0. I didn't get a great burnout, it seems that the 2 step is still activating with the line loc. Launched it at 5psi and went tearin down the track. Almost all the way without issue until the belt came off:pissed: and the msd and fuel pump didn't like that much but it still ran a

              MPH 136.95

We then tried to salvage what was left of the belt and try it again. This time got a better burnout but then as I was getting ready to run, the car in front of me decided to blow up at the end of the track. Waited for about a half hour or so and blew the tires off and headed for the wall so I had to get out of it. After the first run they said I couldn't run again so we packed it up and went home. I was glad to get a pass in:)
