Re: Where can I find "Mounting Kit" for Powerdyne SC?
if someone is buying a used kit I highly doubt it is going to be missing the stuff that makes it a kit. It wouldn't be a kit then if it didn't have the mounting stuff.
I see used kits quite often sell for about 2k here. Never seen one with everything but the rods/spacers.
I thought that $13.94 was very resonable for a 1 meter rod considering that it is stainless steel (much stronger than mild steel and almost as hard as 10.9). Home Depot only carries SAE rods (non-metric) at least in my town.
I checked to make sure they fit and they do, so 10mm is the correct size. However, I have decided to not use the traditional method of mounting with the threaded rods. I didn't get a "warm and fuzzy" from the two legged table approach. I'm mounting mine slightly higher and to the right using all 10.9 hardness botls. I don't want to get into the details until I get it installed and verify it all works properly. That way I won't sound like an ***. My goal is to be able to use the original belt tensioner without modification and get the plate away from the oil filter. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
Re: Where can I find "Mounting Kit" for Powerdyne SC?
don't skip the 3rd mounting bracket. (the 'S' bracket) The blower unit will just tear free again and bust everything up. Use double nuts on all three mounting points.
roll some semi thick steel to the dimension of your oil filter. silicone it to the top of the filter...directly below the main mounting plate of blower. this is a 'gaurd' for the oil filter while you install/remove the blower and leave it on as it might help keep an oil filter from being destroyed if the blower ever comes free while driving.
good luck.
