The Comp XP Hot cam is really awesome too. dmw13 has it and got nearly 300 rwhp on 9 psi.

All of those stattama cams will require heads.

        The cam I'm putting in is a 230/240 115lsa to replace my 210/220 112lsa

              Hey Gang -

I'm looking to add Heads (probably Abbott Racing) and a Cam (once I get the blower situation squared away - I must be a glutton for punishment):stp:, but I am curious about the "duration" numbers on the cams that a few of you are running...

It was my understanding, if you are running an FI motor, that a cam with a 'shorter' Exhaust duration than Intake duration (along with a wide, Lobe-Separation Angle) is desirable... though, it seems as though some of the cams listed here have an Intake Duration that is shorter than the exhaust?

I may be opening Pandora's box :poke:, but am I missing something here???

              Thanks Kindly,

              Ed D - Beestly

I like our S1X cam, you can run on stock heads and makes awesome power. I ran it in my gtp with our stage 3 heads and some 1.7 rockers and made 395 @ the wheels. I'd go to the track and throw some slicks on and run 11.6's all day.

i ran my very close to IS3 turbo cam on stock heads with out problems

the only reson you would have to have heads is to clearance for valve lifts

seems to be some confusion in the thread

udlose: those cams that you posted are turbo cams, and roots blower cams.... not the kind you wan't for max performance on a powerdyne/prochaged car

i would say for SC the abbott cam is about the best your goign to to find..... other then a custom grind for the cintrifical type sc's

My exhaust duration is larger because I will be spraying it as well.

Could always throw in a VS cam which I have 206/216 115ls, isn't a huge cam but works pretty well with both superchargers or nitrous.
