    you're preaching to an automotive engineer. i agree that dumps add hp. i said that i wouldn't trade a nice exhaust note for 10 hp or so. you will see more than 10 hp, since you only have a 2.5" exhaust. i'd say put a full 3" exhaust on, but it's probably cheaper for you at this point to just add the dump. i'm interested in hearing your track times with the dump open/closed.

    a properly sized exhaust isn't very restrictive at all - near 0 psig backpressure. an intercooler is more of a restriction - 1.5 - 2 psig. even a full cat will only cost you 1-2% hp - i don't think i'd notice, or miss it.

      i took automotive classes for 3 years also lol....rebuilt 289's up to 454's. Only bad thing about the class was we never got educated very well on turbo setups....so i educated myself
