running with stock manifold?

is it at all possible to run a turbo with the stock manifold on a 3.4l and just run the exhaust out of the manifold up to infront of the motor then back to the regualar exhaust track or maybe stick a turbo behind the motor and have enough room to run intercooler piping and a intake pipe? any suggestion's im only 17 so im trying to keep it as cheap as possible thank?

its a turbo set up...its not gonna b cheap or easy...im pretty sure u can use ur stock manifolds but im sure some1 will chime in and correct me if im wrong

it can definetly be done, in fact unless you have one custom made, thats all you are gonna get. Factory stock headers will be restrictive, so if you can find someone to fab up a kit for you, the better.

You know a couple of years ago when Pacesetter first came out someone did a dyno to see how much the diff. in HP gain. From factory mani. to Pacesetter the rwhp gain was 2. So the stock mani. must not be that restrictive.

But it made the car sound better.

its not going to give you instant wheel hp, but it makes the exhaust more free flowing. it gives you more room to work with before the air isn't flowing.
