^ Not really needed. As for recommendations, depends on what you're looking for. The only kit that is readily available is the Powerdyne, but there are a few inherent issues with it.
Oh I currently have a Powerdyne 6 psi Supercharger installed and running great. I was just inquiring on what would I need after a change my pulley to the 9 psi one. I know I need the MSD in-line fuel pump. But do I need an MSD DIS 4 aswell?
2001 JET BLACK V6 CAMARO <br /><br />-Powerdyne Supercharger, Pacesetter Headers, Transgo Shift Kit, and a whole lot more. <br /><br /> <a href=\"http://groups.msn.com/SPEEDSTYLEandPERFORMANCE\" target=\"_blank\">http://groups.msn.com/SPEEDSTYLEandPERFORMANCE</a> <br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/id/camarostallion\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/id/camarostallion</a>
no, you dont need the MSD DIS 4. you definatley need a new fuel pump. i would suggest the IN-TANK pump, not the in-line. also, you might need to get new injectors and some tuning depending on how much boost you plan to add later on.
yea I would go with a walbro intank fuel pump so you don't have to worry about turning the inline pump on or if it is working or not. Using the trap door method the intank install is no biggy.
as for 9psi.
yep, most safe would be a big intank fuel pump. not sure of the stats for the inline pumps. you want more fuel, though.
if you don't go to larger injectors then your FMU will push the fuel rail and fuel system to near or over 100psi. that is beyond the design limitations of the fuel system. you could spring a leak or lock up an injector. it might work it might not. risky though.
if you do not have tuning software nor plan to get the car tuned you should plan on using the crane ignition retard module. at 9psi you need to retard the timing to ovoid pre detonation. the timing retard is far more critical at 9psi than at 6 psi. the powerdyne blows reletivly cool air at 6 psi but the air will be much hotter at 9psi. plan on retarding the timing if you go over 6psi.
unfortunatly there is not simple/safe/cheap/affordable way to make the jump from 6psi to 9psi. it takes money, planning, commitment and research to do it safely and effectivly.
good luck with the ride.
p.s. don't really need a dis4 with forced induction. you want to run a cooler spark not a hotter one.
