Have anyone ever gotten an sts type turbo system yet ??? I'm just curious if anyone have any insight about this.
    I called them for 3.4 f-body car , it was 3999...
Yea, I'm also kinda new around here:poke: :poke:

its a waste in our case, we have enough room to mount the turbo up front. You lose over 1 psi with a STS kit... check out this thread

the sts kits are irrelevant compared to a front mount....

Ya...I could not say that to be total true. Since I seen some STS kits put more power then Front mounts and the procharger on the ls1.

You will be surprised how well the sts kit actually performs...but Front mounts are capable of producing more power....just depends on what you want to do with the car...

only reason they make more power IN LSx motors is because there is no mounting room, and if you try to make room, you will put the turbo in a spot with poor ventalation. So witha remote mount, you will greatly lower you inlet temp.

on the v6 we have plenty of room up from to accomidate cool, fresh air.

I would have to agree with you there...but like I said you would be surprised to see what the STS can do.

O i have seen, they are powerful kits when applied to the right apps, like an LSx block. In fact on an LSx block you are better off using an STS kit.....yes you lose roughly ~1psi from all the piping but your inlet air temp is well over 50 degrees cooler which more than accounts for the 1 hp loss.

HOWEVER! I am not a fan of the fact that i dont know what you would do on a rainy day? and the filters on those would get loaded with **** all the time.

Bankz is actually the one who bought sts kit with bb turbo matched for v6. He planed to use Meth kit as well. I havent heard what happened after, maybe ive missed that thread.

on a 3.4 you have more than enough room for a front mount kit.

You guys are forgetting, CMBoyd has done this. He said too much lag and too much problem. He doesn't recommend it.

Front mounting is superior. Besides doesn't STS dyno their cars at a high rpm range?

                      Re: Sts turbo

Oh ok...here is what happening...i am really lazy of trying to get it done... I am getting a FMIC for the car... I have a ok tune not a great tune at all which is causing a problem. Also my flanges on my headers are really really ****ty which is causing me to loose power and take longer to spool up...with all this in mind I dynoed decent enough to match a powerdyne at 5 psi... so no intercooler, exhaust leek, and not a good tune...like I said I am going to see how my car works with the STS kit...I am enjoying the project but small stuff is causing me to get backed up...

                      Thanks guys

gt35mm turbo with 65 .a/r i believe... ic ant rember but its the next size up from the tacoma turbo they use...cause I know when the motor is built and more air gets the turbo it will spool alot faster
