  • Most boost with 10:1:1 compression

    What is the most boost you would go with my 10:1:1 compression ratio? I am looking into a powerdyne with a 6-14 psi boost range (with racig rebuilt of course) Can I go higher with that compression

    also, sicne the units are self -contained can it mount it any way i want to? or does it have to go betwee 10-2 like the others?

      im no expert... but im guessing that since our cars "safe" level of boost with the like 9.4:1 compression is around 6-9 psi... the 10:1 should prolly be around 4-7 psi. but like i said i am no expert.

        i would say 9 psi...... the you will need some higher grade fuel.... our cars can take 12 psi easy every day

        i would say 8-9psi and get meth injection on it

          That's about right. If you intercool it you can run 9 psi.

          Nissan 350z has a 11:1 compression ration and they run 8psi intercooled ATI.

            i would run no more then 9 psi ever and its gtta be a really good tune...

              is only .6 up from stock

              you can run as much boost as you want...... but you have to account for it.... i think meth injection is the best way

              control KR and keep the AFR in check.... you will run out of space wit hte 93 octane sooner tho, witch is why meth injection is the perfect thing for this.... (a reguelar IC on top would not hurt eather )

                  Thanks for the info guys, so I was looking at the Snow meth injection, can someone explain this for me, it injects methane into my intake, or through injectors? I understand that it cools the charge, and offers an octae enhancement but I tought you guys were telling me to stick with 87 octane ? Also would I have to run an intercooler with the meth. How muc better is meth than an intercooler?

                    Also, what is a good intercooler to buy, and what size do you guys typically buy to fit in the front of the 93-97 Camaro's (i.e. cut out the black fog light area). Do name brands matter that much, I am on a budget ...kinda...

                      X02 racing has a good selet on ebay for around $100 shipped.....im not to sure on the size you can fit on a 93-97 body style....all i know is my intercooler would never fit on that

                        You want to run HIGHER octane with a 10:1 compression ratio

                        the meth injection comes through a nozzle in a hole you will have to drill into your intake manifold.

                        as far as the intercooler....if you decide to go meth injection, just get an ebay intercooler, I cant remember the dimensions of mine, I will post them when i get home.
