im about ready to order my turbo setup, could someone review the parts list for me and let me know if im missing anything, im new to this. please be aware im only planning on starting with 7 lbs of boost, so theres not going to be any valvetrain upgrades as of yet. im also making all the piping myself, so thats why there's piping and flanges on the list.

Turbo : would reccomend you to go with T4 flange instead 810015
WG,BOW: HKS is good , but you can save a ton going with Tial
HPT: a must (or dhp)
Spark plugs: NGK TR6 copper is fine
Tubbing: 3" downpipe 2,5 the rest.
Intercooler: 2.5 in and out

Boost controller: leave it for later.lats say stage2.

so youre saying i dont need a boost controller? also, what tial bov and wg would you recommend? and i think i will go with the t4 flange. thanks :)

any 38mm WG wil do. Turbonetics , Tial, HKS.
any BOV will work for 7-9 psi , even Bosch.

i have the HKS 40mm Race wastegate....And its not bad...but its VERY loud when its opened but of course it should be that way on all of them....

Deff. get a T4 flanged MP t70...you'll be more then happy with it.

Also...i dont see a MSD high pressure fuel pump on your list...and running anymore then like 3 psi, you'll need that or start saving for a new motor

You forgot the oil feed/drain lines.....

You dont need a Boost controller...and well if you do, i have a Turbo XS manual one i will sell you for cheap :)

The intercooler...thats a good price. Intercoolers you can get for that size off ebay for like 125 shipped. Mine is the same demensions as the one you picked out but instead of your being 3" wide....Mines 4" wide....its a HUGE intercooler and be ready to hack away at your front bumper with a sawzaw and remove all that foam behind your bumper.

If your gonna get gauges, make sure to atleast get a boost gauge so you know if you boost spikes to let off as fast as possible as for the first few weeks after the turbo install, you will be doing nothing but working out small problems....it happens to all of us

look up on ebay "camaro intercooler piping"....get one of those kits for 120$ shipped with all the couplers and T-bolt clamps you need. Aluminum piping is very easy to work with and very easy to cut so you can adapt everything you need too...thats what I did

biggest note of all...

you can get everything you listed off ebay....and you will only spend half the money

ok, i didnt realize i had to get a fuel pump, thanks ;) also, are there any plumbing tutorials for installing the oil feed/drain line because thats about the only point of confusion for me.

get a T fitting that will go between where your oil ending unit meets your front cover (supply line)

drill high on the oil pan for your return line, BUT...make sure the return line is at a constant slope from the turbo to the pan.

Little stuff I know I was always running to the store for:

Silicone Connectors for the cold side (With clamps)
NPT/AN fittings for the oil drain and feed.
Might need 02 Bungs to weld in.
Lots of Drinks :)

alright, sounds good... ill hvae to pick up a couple cases of red bull before i go at this ;) this seems to be getting expensive, does anyone think i can get this done for under 6k?

to be honest...i did this the same way you did, but i got parts from forum members and Ebay and put together a whole kit, when i had the whole kit, i started installing everything.....If you need any help once you start, i will be more then happy to help you since i did all of this no more then 9 months ago

and to answer your question about everything under 6K...yes....a whole brand new kit with Forward flowing headers would only cost you 5K at most from tiago

i did all of mine for around 3K but thats just in parts....not adding in injectors, hptuners etc.
