Can someone explain to me how the vortech fmu worked on tiago's car with his turbo? Was the injectors, fuel pump, and fmu the only things he needed for fuel to acheive 300+whp?

you need to add fuel when you add more air (aka BOOST) you need to upgrade the injectors, and pump when turboing anything. the fmu is a tuning option which increases the amount of fuel per pound of boost.

How do you adjust it? Is it ok to run a turbo kit on a 3.4 with a stock fuel system at 5psi?

nope not ok you at the VERY least need a fmu. it is not adjustbale normally but they do sell adjustable ones. just depends on if want to drive around wondering if your going to lean out and blow your motor up. fuel is one area NOT to get cheap.

as boost increase, the FMU increase the fuel flow at the rail. Gives you more fuel for that boost coming in. A 6:1 ratio fmu adds 6psi of fuel for every 1lb of boost

So how high of a psi can you go up?

well you will need the walbro high flow fuel pump to supply the fuel and if you are pushing to much through then you are going to max out the injectors as well

They have other ratio FMU's as well if you want more than the 6:1 ratio

How do I know what ratio is right for my application, is it just trail and error.

i would only go with a 6:1 or if you really want too a 8:1...i wouldnt go any higher tho...not good for the fuel lines.

So 6:1 should be good for up to 15psi?

i personally would go with the 8:1 but there is no sure way to tell whats good to a certain psi level. tiago ran a 6:1 bc he had the pump and injectors. he supplies a 8:1 with his kits. things like the condition your pump is in will affect flow as well meaning if your pump has a lot of miles on it my not put out the same flow as a newer pump.

I was told if your running low boost 5-8 #, then you can just throw on some bigger injectors say 36# gtp and everything should be cool.

MSD makes a new setup...which automatically increase the amperage to your fuel pump when running a tc/sc...it's made specifically for boosted cars.....everything I've read on it claims that you do not need larger injectors or aftermarket fuel pump....This is what I'm going with for my setup for now....read more into it...
