Questions about a possible supercharger application

I've been seriously considering saving up for a supercharger, but I have a couple of questions regarding my application. My major mods include:

Comp GT2 cam (216/216 .507/.507 111 lsa)
LS6 valve springs
upgraded pushrods
lifters
etc....

3000 stall converter from Edge.

Finally, a dynotune for the cam.

My question is, what would happen with my fuel timing if I just slapped on a blower, would it completely lean it out? I know they come with an FMU to compensate, but I don't have stock tuning.

Also, where the hell do I buy a Powerdyne kit? The only place I knew of, Thudner Racing, has that section down right now.

as was said in a previous thread (dont remember where) you have to be careful of your advance, if they really pushed it as far as advance goes, then you may run into some detonation problems.

the FMU will keep it from leaning out. but timing is going to be your main issue. I would also make sure you have your own tuner before considering FI.

are the 90# springs strong enough for the cam? The lightest i've noticed are 105 with any cam.

That's why I wasn't sure. Don't know anything about the GT cams.

I know of at least one other person who runs the 90#ers with the GT2 cam: those springs are made for more lift and RPM than what the GT2 gives. They're fine.

So what would I do, retard the timing before trying to run the blower so I don't risk any detonation?

Retard the timing, probably retune after the blower and atleast keep an eye on your fuel delivery, and buy my blower from the classifieds :)
