Hey guys. I used to build custom carbon fiber piping for mazdaspeed proteges (turbo), and I'm looking to get back into it.
Is there anybody in the NJ area working on a supercharger or turbocharger that needs piping made?
Important- this is only for the charge pipe/intake pipe, not the exhaust pipes.
I would do it for free, since it's sort of "research and development". I used to only make intakes and post-intercooler pipes, so I'm interested to see if the material can handle the combination of heat and pressure coming right out of the turbo.
If you aren't in the NJ area, but still need piping, we may be able to work something out. You would just need to mock it up out of flexbile dryer hose and find a way to set it (using some sort of epoxy, glue, or tape) so that it can hold its shape during shipping.
I've attached a few pics of what I used to make, although I would only be making the test pipes in black carbon fiber (the colors are more expensive).
My nick is Riles_2 because I can't get into my old account, which was Riles. I had a powerdyne on my 98 bird. I'm looking to buy another firebird, but in the mean time, I'm trying to make some extra cash on the side by getting back in to carbon fiber (although I wouldn't be making any money off of this testing).
*Important note: I'm only looking for one to start! If it is successful, then I'll look into doing a few more. I'm looking for somebody who is either done or almost done with their kits, so that the pipes could be installed quickly.
