Re: consensus on using the oil level sensor as return line

If you use a -10 an which is 1/2" and go about 1 " below the top about where the oil level sensor is on the drivers side, noone should have trouble with backing up with oil. I modded mine to where the oil pan gasket splash sheild doesn't get in the way and also cut more out of the valley so the oil pan will basicly drop straight down , so no trying to push it forward and different angles to get to the pickup to unbolt it. Plus having a Tub. K has its benefits. A GT35R since it is water cooler uses a .035 oil restrictor , or might go a little bigger since it doesn't need alot of oil to feed it like most turbos. So a -4an oil inlet line with a restrictor and a -10 an free flowing return line their shouldn't be any back up. Using it off the oil filter I could see some problems since the oil filter is trying to return the engine oil back to the engine. Also oil PSI plays a great part , mines stays around 60 PSI so its going to flow very well plus I have a oil PSI kit I can install to boost the PSI to 80 PSI, these little hondas and what not need no restrictor or a very large one since their oil PSI levels max a 40 PSI. But as far as our oil pans blowing seals I doubt it will ever happen, well at least for mine the oil will drain off on the plastic oil pan gaskets and back into the pan there is no pressure build up , esp. with a pluged PCV and oil cap breather. Only time I had problems with seals was when i didn't do the PCV mod and oil cap breather, after that none in 4 years afte I had my powerdyne. Also for high heat areas RP 20W50 is a great choice for extra protection for your bearings plus keeping a good il pressure.
