I've got no idea how much power it makes, never dynoed it. Using a calulator with trap speed and wieght it should be about 450 hp at the wheels and over 500 at the crankshaft. I've had no problem walking ls1 cars and have walked away from an ls2 GTO on the street. I've only really lost to a 03twin turbo cobra that puts down almost 700 to the wheels That was cool, ended up talking to the guy for more than an hour afterwards.

              Re: Stock 3800 boost ?!!!!

I built and installed everything myself. The engine is completely stock (except for the 57# injectors) with 120,000+ miles on it, stock trans, stock 308 gears. It has a t3/t4 hybrid turbo 62-1 compressor and a .63 ar stg5 t3 turbine, forward flowing headers, alky injection, air-air intercooler, ect. There is a more complete list and pictures on my fquick page, check it out.

how in the world did you get your car to run 150 and by the way thats very impressive. Im more impressed with your car because everyone here always says you gotta buy all these aftermarket parts to even consider forced induction and you are doing it all stock. I mean for god sakes you don't even have a whisper lid keep up the good work Have you had any problems with the car

                  Re: Stock 3800 boost ?!!!!

I use hp tuners and got rid of the speed limiter and then stayed in the gas for about 19 seconds :D. The stock lid just kind of hides some of the piping, it really serves no purpose. There is a 4 inch tube that goes from the turbo to a large K&N that sits behind the fog lamp and turn signal. Really the only things not stock are the huge injectors, fuel pump and lots of tuning. The rear suspension is aftermarket though. It has boxed LCA's, Tunnel mount adjustable torque arm, LCA relocation brackets, and an adjustable pan hard rod. I've only broke the stock 2 piece drive shaft, got an alum. one. The trans is starting to slip some in second gear, you can really here it in one of the vids on my fquick, I think the 40-100 one. The rear is starting to make some noise too, but the engine is faring the best out of everything and has given me no problems in the almost 6000 miles now. And trust me they are very , very hard miles. I beat the hell out of it every time I drive it and it always begs for more. I do change the oil a lot (every 1000 miles) because the turbo beats up the oil, as well as running it rich contaminates it pretty fast. I am also very safe with the tuning
I honestly can't believe it's not broken yet, and expected to break it long ago. I may just be lucky, but who knows. WHen I put the junk on the car I was planing to build an engine for it, but with the way it's working out I may just get a used one and plop it in when this one goes. I'd rather spend a few hundred bucks on a used engine every year than break a built one that cost a few thousand. There is another guy that has been running a stock one at 18 psi on ftv6, so they got to be a tough engine

yah im gonna be running 15-16psi on my stock engine once i get new 60lb injectors.

only problem i have had with my motor (20K when installed, 6k with the turbo) is that i blew a rear main seal at 10psi and like he said above....my tranny is shot...it used to not even shift to 3rd gear under boost when WOT and now, it wont shift to 2nd gear under WOT...just too much for the stock tranny to handle.

You will love it at 15 psi! just do it in baby steps and be safe with the timing. It starts to get kind of difficult to get rid of kr at those levels eith the stock compression ratio. You may want to consider alcohol injection, it works great.

It's a must if you want to run higher boost. Hell, even at 12psi, i had to pull so much timing to keep the detonation down, i was making the same power i was at 10psi. I think i went up to 15psi once, but i had like 2º of timing in it. Add the methanol, and i'm up to 19psi @ 26º for almost two years now. :D

Theres the other guy with high boost on a stock engine :D Don't I know it. I got some shnit for only being able to run a few degrees at 14 psi befor I got the alky dialed in. Now, despite not using the MAF I don't change my fuel tables at all to chang for weather, yust the alky mix.
