cause you need to find a way to suspend the valves so they dont fall into your cylinders.

Re: Hows this turbo cam sound?

Let me ask a question. Are the 130# springs really necessary while I run a stage 2 intense cam running 6 psi? Wont the 105#ers be good for now? Be honest

stop making it harded then it is all you have to do is put compressed air in there or make sure its at TDC on the your working so the valve won't fall in

turbo tim (clubgp.com hp-cam chart) made 478 whp with stock heads, 60-1, stattama's stage 1 turbo cam, and 1.7: rockers. that's ~560 bhp. granted, that's a fwd 3800, but you have the 62-1 (about 10% more flow).

stattama says you don't need upgraded springs with this cam, but it's good insurance, as the stock springs won't be as springy as new. you're ok with 105# springs if you don't over rev it (slightly north of stock redline).

viper - boost doesn't affect valve float. change your hydraulic roller lifters (or get solid rollers). the ls7 revs to 7100, but it has special lifters, and its valves are lighter than ours.

Re: Hows this turbo cam sound?

Hey Viper. Read my other post about the intercooler, I need to know how exactly u installed urs.

I did the 130# springs and it sucked getting them on, I needed like 5 tubes of neosporin. I got the cam swapped out with the double roller chain, and spring/retainers done. The engine is 95% back together. I have already put the turbo manifolds on and cut my exhaust off right before the cutout I have before the rear axle.

All I got now is the custome Ypipe, turbo mount, oil lines and intercooler left. Oh and plus a ton of tuning.
