Alright it seems that the rattle I have is coming from inside the blower I bought. I think I'm gonna remove it this weekend and send it out the 928 for a rebuild. The only question is which rebuild the race rebuild or do I bight the bullet and go for the Superpowerdyne rebuild right away. More or less just posting my thoughts than really asking a question. I don't think the guy that sold it to me knew there was anything wrong since he helped me install it but am still gonna try to talk to him about what he thinks I should do. I'm just kinda bummed right now.
John.

After doing more reading on 928motorsports webpage this is what I'm thinking is happening. I think the bearing is starting to go and allowing lateral movement which would make it possible for the impellor to come in contact with the housing. The small rattle that I have at idle gets progressively worse as I increase in RPM's so I'm thinking this is the problem. It is coming off the car tomorrow and I'm going to try to inspect things and see if I can't confirm or disconfirm the issue.

I did before I put it on but only tested side to side play not lateral. I haven't loosened the belt to try it on the car yet but I'm not looking forward to it. Worse comes to worse I'll have to spring for the "Superpowerdyne" rebuild which includes their newly designed impellor. I would just rather not spend the money right now.
*EDIT*
Just went and checked and I can't feel anything terrible but I'll take it apart tomorrow and get a better look.
