So SC, huh? I've heard there's TONS of slippage problems with the Powerdyne kit...
slippage is fixed by doing the JohnD powerwrap ;)

That I've also heard, but I have an elec WP, with no pulley... =(

Maybe I'll just do heads, cam and manifolds for now...

Rear mounts give you all of the headaches involved with tuning turbo vehicles, but none of the benefits.

help a novice out....if i threw a sts on my car what would i need to do?

like the one for sale in the section on here...how many hp could i expect?

could i see 300hp with only tubulars and a intercooler?

if i put a paxton sn93 on my car what would i need to do?

take my car to a racing shop for a tune?
        buy hp tuners?

you could still do it. You would just have to get the right bracket and figure out a belt route

do a search, it is a different way of routing the belt. Makes it so there is more coverage on the pully for less slip

Well if it is a kit it would come with most things, prolly not a boost guage and maybe a few other things you would want.

Im not sure about the HP since it wouldnt spool till higer RPMs unlike other turbo kits, but for the money like teufel said you would get a much more usuable powerband with an SC vs the STS for for the amount of money in it. You could either take it to a place to have it tuned or get HP tuners, but if you get HPtuners you should find someone who knows what they are doing

ok, finding a belt route that will allow for my "pulley-less" elec WP is pissin me off! I'm prolly just gonna put a regular one on... And then buy me a SC!

There is no way to use the electric WP with the powerdyne that I have figured out yet (I've spent a lot of time trying... and failing). If you are going to buy a powerdyne put asside an extra 500 bucks for a ceramic bearing rebuild so you don't run into the problems I have. Out of the box it is a terrible kit but with a little work it can be decent (better than an STS at least). I wouldn't even consider an STS kit, it's just so inefficient and as TH said you have the powerband of a CSC but with the painful tuning of the turbo. Just not worth it.
