We bought what we were told was a 3.42/lsd rear with 10k miles on it, but we checked it all out and it has 3.23 gears/lsd and looks to be more than 10k judging from the metal shavings on the magnet in the cover.

So yea, anyone have some 3.73s to sell? We are pretty pissed off that we were screwed like that. Some people can be pretty gay, and to do it to other fellow fbody owners makes no sense
I wonder if thats the rear that I tried to buy and had it set up then the guy queered the deal?
He had said he would kick in for shipping so maybe you were closer hence he made more money.

We are going back to the drawing board to make something else up.

Probably gonna go with something like the RKsport tensioner, and add a threaded rod to put more force down on the pulley spacer from the side to keep it tight.

I keep plenty of those bearings on hand
Seems like GM used them on zillions of models and for $6 each I replace them
      on everything I get.

another little update, my dad chipped in and helped setup the tensioner with the stock kit now so that it will work, we then drilled and tapped the end of the bracket to 1/4 inch, we will be tightening it up real nice that way. now tonight we just need to get the new shorter belt set up and tensioned real good, then its looking like we just need the outlet pipe fabricated as well as the fmu set up, and then finish off with making the 3rd mounting bracket. Hopefully with no more setbacks we can get this done soon. In addition, some night this week hopefully one of my dads mechanics will get the 3.73s and posi in.

another update, my dad and I just finished up putting on the new belt with the bracket setup, we got this thing nice and tight and fired the car up, no slippage at all and no rattles, just a nice smooth sound of blowing air, I believe my brother is going to work on it tommarrow. we just need the outlet tubing bent to the right angles, and the fmu and boost gauges hooked up. Upon looking closer to our rubbler flex tubing intake setup; it is also just not going to work. I was on a creeper making sure the belt was on good and noticed there was already a 1 inch rip in the inlet tubing, who knows how many other rips there are over by the fan cover where it directly rubs.. i guess we will have to figure out another setup because Im not having random things sucked into my supercharger through the rips lol

jb weld? unless its gotten worse, the tubing i sent you guys only had very minor tears where the wire was coming thru, but nothing that would have caused stuff to get sucked thru there. id just throw some jbweld around the tear and call it a day.

                      Re: Homemade powedyne Kit build

the problem with the tubing was that we were swapping belts so much trying different sizes and setups that each time it would rub against it and also the fan housing because of the tight space. I think we can seal up the cuts though and still use the tubing. They are not that big yet, just that the soft rubber tears so easily once it is started that it worries me. Need to get it stopped right now.

final pricing will come, need to get a few things buttoned up with the boost gauge and such.

Yes I have been trying to keep everything recorded, some things we got for free being as how we grabbed them out of our shop and/or made up our own things. For example getting the brackets fabbed up will cost people more than what we got them for which was free other than paying for the metal :)

oh btw, we went with a 103.7" belt and have a ton of room to tighten it down more if it stretches.

Gorilla tape took care of the slight rip as it is underneath and you cannot see it anyways from the top.

How much pressure should this set-up put out when it's all done?
