even low PSI benefits from an intercooler... if it's a high efficiency intercooler anyways.
that is questionable on the powerdyne units. You would need a really efficient ic or the loss of boost would make it not worth it. If he was going 10psi or over then yea get one

I think im going to start with a 6psi non IC and get it running right. Then get a IC and bump the boost up to 10psi.
Has any one had any experience with th IC's that are on Ebay? Ive seen them for 80-100$ are the decent quailty?

Yea that is what we are doing with my bros car, make sure everything is running good at 6psi nonic and then add the new pulley and go from there. We will have to see the IAT temps and all to see if a IC would be beneficial for us. Most likely it would at the higher psi
I would shy away from a generic ic unless they state a name brand and have efficiency numbers and all along with it. I know some guys go that route for turbo builds but I would be leary unless they had some actual specs and all. Some ebay ones are good and others are not so know what you are getting first
i say market this build! i have plans to put a Powerdyne on my '99 Firebird...and i dont have the resources to fab up my own like you do...own CNC shop and whatnot. id sure buy this kit from you.

had quite a bit of interest, we will see. I want to get it on the dyno and see how it performs and all first. Then go from there. Car is put away for the winter so it would be in the spring.
We did more tuning before it was put up for the winter months and it is coming around nicely. Few more things to tune after some more runs in the spring
any more thoughts on producing your own build? i want to buy a kit very soon.
not until the firebird comes out of storage for the winter and we can get some dyno and track times in to see how it is doing. Also want to tweak the tune some more
yeah, that makes sense... does anyone still sell BD11-A superchargers new? i know no one sells kits anymore, i know someone is selling a build on here, but id really want a polished unit, and his is satin. thanks for the info.
update: Car is running really strong with no problems. We still see 7psi all day long on the normal smooth 6psi pulley with no slippage at all with our tensioner setup.
We have a 9psi pulley for it and a walbro fuel pump that need to go into the car. Also the newest addition to the our kit is an intercooler that was snagged locally for a heck of a deal.
Dyno #s and track numbers will come when I finish up my nitroused camaro and we can get both cars dynoed at the same time.
Then this winter the intercooler, pulley, and fuel pump go into the firebird to give some more power. Also suspension will be addressed this winter as well. :)
