  • Question about turbo kit and clearance?

    Hi everyone.

I always wanted my v6 Camaro to be twin turbo changed like everyone here. I was thinking what is the easiest way to make a turbo kit or make up a different setup instead as FFF turbo kit. So I was looking around the web and came across APS turbo system for LS1 http://www.airpowersystems.com/fbody/tt.htm, http://www.airpowersystems.com/fbody/manifolds.htm As I was look at the picture. I was thinking this kit could be made for our beloved V6. I'm not saying copy there kit but modify it so it could work for a our cars. If you take the pacesetter headers and cut lower part off and weld that part that attaches to the turbo there you go you have twin turbo kit. I'm just saying because I know is harder to do than it look but imagine if it could be done that would be sweet!!!. I know there is some clearance problems, but the LS1 is a bigger engine then a 3.8 so that means we have more clearance then the LS1 maybe I'm wrong. I just want a kit that I could keep my AC and not drag on the ground like the under the K turbo kit. What ideas you guys have for good turbo kit that works? Please post.

    Sorry for the long post.
    Thanks.

binary TT system. smaller turbo into a bigger turbo. plenty of engine bay room in the 3800 cars.

rear mount turbo systems, like the STS kit.

there are endless combinations of what can be done. no matter what the system, if you have the money, you can make it work.
