guys,dont mind my tread title.

ok i am planning on buying an other camaro, a z-28 . lt1, i know ls1 is better but i hate the body styling of the 98 and up camaros(i mean how they did the headlights)i love the 93 to 97 . thats just me.


ok the real question is,,,,,,i saw on an f body website a turbo that replaces the mufler,,,the turbo sits under the trunk(yes in the rear) does it spool fast???lag????there is a long way for the air to travel to the motor????
can it boost fast so my et time drops low??????

they work but Remote Mount Turbos have more lag than conventional mount turbo...

your talking about STS kits, not only do they spool slower, more preussure is lost in these systems because of the amount of piping used to get from one end of the car to the other.

STS is only a good option if you have no room under the hood, otherwise its a waste

Remote mounts are a waste of money and time compred to the front mount kits. My buddy had a STS kit on his Dodge Ram Hemi and he had nothing but bad things and problems to say about it...and the thing that REALLY ticked him off was that he Ran the same 1/4 mile time with the turbo, when he did when he was bone stock. After that, he sold it and now has a C6

O yah Dan, My bad on thinking my buddys Terminator had a Whipple. I was with him saturday at the drag strip and its a Kenne Bell on 17psi. He went 10.2 on drag radials.
