Sweet, will the price be around the same? I would assume yes but I have to ask.

Re: Powerdynes Finished complete Kits coming back

just remember powerdyne wasn't the ones actually making the kits for the 3.8...

So you won't have a kit once they are up and running again, someone will still have to put everything together and sell them like RKsport was/did for awhile. So yea its cool that powerdyne patents are in hands that want to remake them, but you still will need a company or person to build the 3.8l kit as that is not part of the patents that changed ownership ;)

So yea you will still be waiting for a supercharger kit

who cares how long, as long as you get the full kit and dont have to make it up yourself right?

I might be interested in the brackets. If they are better that is.

Re: Powerdynes Finished complete Kits coming back

Anyone come up with a decent way to tighten the belt? Already have the better belt routing (the one to get more belt on the pully area, filed the oil filter housing for the diff wrap) 2.8 custom pully with the grooves cut for grip but I still have aggrivating belt slippage.

Mighty Thor, please add me to your list - Jess

Re: Powerdynes Finished complete Kits coming back

I have the John D. Powerwrap.

                      I have a custom grooved pully. 2.8"

If I read the right sticky, I did this over a year ago.

What do you all use to tighten the pulley? I am using a C-clamp that was the last recommendation from Greyman, who said:

"You will understand about tighting the belt tensioner later...I use a large C clamp on the metal pulley...you can also use a hammer...2x4...lots of ways. Anyway...we can cover that later." In my FI thread -Powerdyne puzzle- 05-22-2005.

This (C-clamp) is the method I still use. Not perfect, but produces the best tension of any method I have tried.

no drill a hole on the side of the bracket, thread the hole and use a bolt in the hole to put side force on the tensioner bolt.

yup hes talking about my car, i had to tighten it a few times within the first week but its been a couple weeks now and its good as ever, takes all of 10 seconds to tighten it each time too with a flathead screwdriver :)

producing what? No company is making the kits currently. This was a custom build I did for my brothers car
