  • Stock k-car turbos?

I have come across some stock turbos at a salvage yard in my town and was wondering if anyone thought they are anycount??

here is a website that lists some specs on them

    http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f4/...-upgrades.html

I only know that they are from late 80's to early 90's and are from dodge k-cars, they are the same and there is two of them that are the same, both fine,........just wondering what you guys think about them on a stock motor?

    thanxs

If they are m24 (t25), then they were the same turbos put on the Nissan 300ZXtt, with the exception of the turbine being a little smaller (300's came with .63 turbine housings). For smaller 3l, they would work good as a pair, but don't know how they will do on your 3800. You also will want to rebuild them, so add that to the cost ($100ea just for parts). You can buy a rebuilt t61 or to4e for about the same dough.

I know who you are ;). I get around *starts singing tune in head* I'm all over the 3rd gen, 4th gen fbod, turbo, v6, megasquirt, and BMW sites, lol.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and any 60* V6 GM sites too :D

NP, that's actually how I make the connection across the boards. You would be surprised how many people post the same question on 5 different boards, lol.

              yup......

I am considering about forgetting my n/a setup and do a cheap turbo setup to atleast make the power a stock v8 makes so that when the time comes I will be ready for my lsx motor sitting in the garage........you know building myself up basically. You and Lance are the only ones that know I have an lsx motor without a home, yet.

I don't have an LSx! I have a bunch of 60* motors and parts, a turbo and a S/C, though.

You might mean the LT1 I found for cheap. Haven't persued it, my partner at the shop went into the hospital the day after he saw it and found out he's diabetic. Don't know if the guy still has it or not, but I found a good place for known running engines, so not concerned.

You live close enough, if you want the top end ported and polished, hit me up. my shop is in Deerfield, FL.

                  Re: Stock k-car turbos?

I live in missouri John, the lsx motor is as it sits is wicked its a 408 monster, I traded an old racecar for it and obtained the stock topend instead of the dart components that was on it, motor alone runs 10s in a 99 bird, right now it would easily run 12s in my camaro but that is too much for me (I am man enough to admit that). I race 800 horse dirt cars every friday and sometimes saturday night but this asphalt thing is different than dirt.

I cant pm you JOHN FORCE, I couldn't resist after it dawned on my j/k, seriously just email instead?
