    Re: commodore 3.8 supercharger....

buy the complete ss kit from zzp. then hack off the back side of the sc, and weld your own custom elbow to it!! cut off the front flange off of your stock intake and weld it to the elbow to accept your tb!

        Re: commodore 3.8 supercharger....

Majourlittle I do think there is an easier way and it was mentioned by vincente, That is what I am thinking

it would be easier than doing the whole motor and all like someone, I also think that you can do it without the lt1 throttlebody but that could be anyones choice when it comes to that. No offense but if you can fabricate it (I know you can) then everyone will have a different version of how to do it and if I beleive what I am thinking after looking at an L67 today in the salvage yard that I could make a bend off the back of the m90 come on top of the blower and only have to cut my cowl area (which to me is nothing with a cutoff wheel) to make it all work... Now there is fabrication involved ofcourse but I think that is easier some will think its not but to were all different. I like how the l67 project camaro turnedout I really do, but I just think that there was an easier way of doing it.

the cowl area, you speek of, contains the wiper arm for your windshield wipers, so no you cant cut into the cowl.

yea using an lt1 throttle body wasnt the best idea, but he was concerned with space (or the lack there of) his next design will incorporate an ls1 fast 90 tb.

there are a bunch of design elements you haven't though through, nor have you done any "playing with" the blower.

so in short, no there isn't a better way to do it.

                  actually it is.

We did our powerdyne setup for under 1500 bucks.

Tpunk is selling his kit for like 1500 and then it would take 400 to rebuild it. So under or around 2k for that.

Buying that from aussie land would be really high shipping, then a lot of modding which costs will add up a lot.

The l67 blower has been done on a fbody, but it took a lot of custom work to make it work, not a simple bolt on. It can be done and is really neat when done correctly.

                  powerdyne is a bolt on.

                    $1500 wow.

the guy on ftv6 did his for...$600

so it is cheaper. and if its done right, it also is a bolt on.

$600 for all the custom work done by himself, someone without that ability and machines is not doing it for $600. Let alone buying from australia the shipping is through the roof already. If one can be found in the US already for cheap then yea go for it.

yes I know, but the one in the first post on ebay is an aussie unit, hence why I am bringing up the shipping issues.

But yes it can be done with a lot of work. I am not denying that. With the right equipment and knowledge anyone can do it.

it can be done with as much work as you would do on a custom powerdyne setup. and at the same psi, you cna run better times with an m90. not to mention an m90 will go over 9psi :naughty:

you should talk to the guy over on ftv6, hes a wealth of knowledge on this thing, and know more about it than anyone.
