Ok. Got it. Which model of Paxton, though? The Paxtons are cheaper too! I may go that route.

        Re: Thinking about supercharging/turboing

turbohead: it shouldn't cost you more than 280 to have one shipped to your door. Also, depending on what route you're planning on going, would decide which paxton you would want.

white: Thanks man. From now until january 7th would be the only time I have to do this, seeing as I start school again ont he 7th. I can however take off any days you need me to. Shoot, I may just skip a day or 2 of school if you prefer to do it in january. BTw, how long would it take me to get to you from cincinnati? Zip 45247

          Re: Thinking about supercharging/turboing

Sweet guys. Thanks a lot. But there's still this question: Does it seem feasible to mount a SC where the AC compressor goes on a 3.4?
Here's what it looks like. For you guys who don't know where, the AC compressor is directly beneath the alternator. The clutch blew out and I don't use AC anyways. So I routed a belt around everything but the compressor. Think a S/C there will work?

also you could mount it right under your tb. I'm not sure how much room is there, but if you're going to go sc, I'm pretty sure that you are probably wanting to keep it belt driven on the original belt system

well depending on if it's possible/likely to put the S/C in a bracket or whatnot where the AC compressor is, I think the NOVI-2000RR might be good. Or the 2000, whichever fits easier/is easier to fab up mounts for.

There's not really much room for a S/C to fit up under the TB. I think if anywhere would be ideal, it would be the AC compressor mount.

yeah. When I do this though, I'm gonna have to get bigger injectors, aftermarket fuel pump, and megasquirt/FASTalso, right? I also think I read something about getting slightly colder plugs, but that was on a turbo thread. Anything else I may need to do?

                        Re: Thinking about supercharging/turboing

Anything that would increase your fuel production will help. I can say the only real 2 things that are a must to have done are colder plugs and the pcv plug mod. You cannot boost your car without it. The next thing you'd want to do is upgrade the exhaust. The you'd have a fairly well running car with being able to safely run low boost. The only thing you can't forget is that the amount of time you put into tuning will determine how well your car runs, meaning in hp and tq, and also how safe it will be along the lines of pre-ignition, leaning out, etc.

Ok awesome. I'll remember this. I'm about to find out what this PVC plug mod is here in a few seconds. lol. And yeah. Exhaust is in the works as the next thing done.

Absolutely. :P I've seen things like that go wrong before. I never do something like that without first driving the car "normally" for a while. I do have another question as a matter of fact. I've heard of people "maxing" their MAF sensors out while under boost. How do I fix that/circumvent that problem?
