ok...used the mcandda...got it on all good and cozy, belt tightened. perfect. fine. dandy. I AM COMPLETELY IN THE DARK ON THIS FMU/ BOOST GUAGE INSTALL. GRAYMANS DIDNT HELP ME.

So you checked Grayman's instruction on it?
It's pretty complete and easy to follow.

But let us know which part you're having problems with. Cause basically all you're doing is tapping on the vaccuum line and the return fuel line for FMU. And just the vaccuum line for the boost gauge.

ok i dunt get it. the belt is TIGHT. thier are NO leaks in the discharge tubing. after i closed up the leak in the tubing last night it ran GREAT for about 5 seconds. then it felt like stock again but at lights it was vibration bad. so i took it to shop class this morning to put my lowering springs and such on, and take a look at it. will i go to find that the vacum line in the back of the fmu was off. cold this be why i havent felt any power, i know its the culprit for the vibrationComment

having a vac line off will cause driveability issues. Get that secured, and get gauges installed to see what is going on.Originally posted by 02camaro3800
No FMU will cause you to run extremely lean in boost, not a good thing. Did you have it clamped or ziptied on or did you just push the vac line onto the FMU? You need to secure it and not just push it onto the line as the boost pressure will blow it offComment

i have a fmu, but thats what i messed up on, i zip tied all the lines where i t-eed it, but forgot to tie the line that goes to the back of the fmu (its the same vortec that your selling) only going up to 4,000rpm like i did do you think i hurt anything? i looked under and i must have a oil leak cause where i filed down the oil neck, theirs now oil on it.Comment

Yea zip tie that back line.
double check your oil filter and oil sending unit to make sure they are screwed in tight. Also wipe the oil away and check for cracks, maybe it was filed down too much?? Is there a lot of oil?
were you getting on it up to 4k rpms or just cruising? cuz if you were just cruising and not getting on it you were not going into boostComment
