So this is bad. Bought a turbo kit from another member, Injected413.. pipes and the rest still haven't arrived. It's been over a month. That's not even what I'm worried about now. It appears that oil has leaked onto the blades of the exhaust side of the turbo. It's just been sitting in a box. Maybe that oil has always been there and it wasn't from the turbo's gear housing. I'm at a loss of words. This isn't normal right? Please someone tell me something to make me happy.

Re: Turbo leaking?
Its possible that it leaked in there when he took it off the car. I wouldnt worry about it until you put it on the car and run it.
It will smoke a little bit while it burns off that oil, but if it continues to smoke then get it rebuilt.sigpic

Re: Turbo leaking?
I never had it on my car. Previous owner was "fast firebird freak" from here. This is also the second time I have had shipping issues with UPS and large boxes. They returned it to me the first time and the box was extremely damaged! Also Blizzard, when I had the turbo sitting here I never noticed an oil leak of any sort so I have no idea why it is doing that, if you could send me some pictures please. Hopefully pipes arrive within the next day or two.

Re: Turbo leaking?
Yeah, it wasn't leaking anything when I first got it. It hasn't left my room since its been in here but I'll get a couple of pics when I get my camera battery charged.. unless its still got some juice. I'll check in a minute. Heh, How bout that tracking number? Wow, I think I just figured out how to use this camera. Lemme post these pictures, the content sucks but the quality is amazing. Too bad I have to downsize them.Last edited by Blizzard242; 02-12-2008, 11:48 PM.
