This may seem like a silly question,but I'm thinking about putting together a s/c and I was wondering the best way to go about doing it? Will a 3.8L mustang engine s/c go on? What kind of fabing do I need to do? Is there a better/easier way? Any help will be appreciated.

straight scroll sc will work. the piping would not work on the stang kit. also need reverse rotation on the sc

You should go to the For Sale section. There's a Fabricated root blower for the 3.8 on sale for 1000.

I thought that those s/c would not work on f bodies. 3800 performance has a kit and they said that the intake tube will not clear the firewall.

the holden sc would take some work to fit. not a simple bolt on.

best way is centrifugal.

Do you know which kit would be the closest to compatable with our engines?

depends, what are oyu planning on running? You need to have a baseline as to where oyu want to go with the car. Each supercharger has different properties, along with the actual size and rotation. We need more info as to oyur goals...

I want to have a daily driver with a good amount of kick to it. Nothin too drastiic

300 rwhp? It all depends on what amount of money you want to spend and if you're going to be doing the work/fab yourself

300 is good I'm going to try and do most if not all the fab work myself. I'd like to keep it around 2k

I'd say go with the ever popular centrifugal supercharger. pesonally, if you look up paxton's sc firebird, their set-up is probably where you would want to start

Do you know where I can get a look at it. when I try tolook it up I just get the roots blower.

none, it will take custom fabbing everything but the headunit itself.

+1, also, if you can understand the basics of a supercharger and look at some other kits to see how they were routed, it amy make it easier for you to fab your kit.
