I'm a little confused... Cutting out the rebar aka the black blastic behind the bumper makes the bumper floppy, or cutting out the middle black section of the bumper where the bowtie is makes it floppy. Any pics would be great, also what size ic do you use. I was planning on a double side ic myself. Or one that isn't longer than 10" so that i can leave some of the reinforcement in behind the bumper. Thanks for your help!
The bumper is what I was refering to. Cutting the center part of the actual urithane bumper would make that hole area kind of floppy unless re-enforced.
I wish I'd taken pictures of the other Camaro's IC setup.
I'm going to do the same basic thing on this car.. but this IC is smaller.
I'll cut the re-bar on this one... still leaving plenty of protection for crash if it ever occurs.
Got other projects going together and waiting for him to send me a new turbo. Might be next week before I get turbo and can get back to it.
I'll ask the other guy if he's got pictures of when we had the Camaro apart.

Both are deleted on these cars. If your going to hook it back up you'd need to add a bung to one side and run it back up the the TB.
HPTuners turns that stuff off.
All EGR is good for is putting a bunch of nasty crap in your intake. No thanks :)
It's not a problem to re-hook it back up though.

so , thats a front manifold off the GTP? Finally someone have tried it!
looks nice.
you have spent lot of tome building passenger side, why didnt you do it right?
Not real sure what you mean by that.
The cast iron peice has to be ported and two holes elongated to fit properly.
The pass. side you use the stock flange and build it to mimic the drivers side as much as possible. Merge pipe needs to go around your pulleys/a/c ect.
Down pipe needs to stay very close to K-Member or be put through it.

To cut through Urithane bumpers I use a small saw you could get a Advance Auto. It's air powered and has a small 3" blade on it.
It cuts through urithane like butter and can do any shape you want... very well worth 30-40.00 for the tool to make the job easier. Cuts metal very well too.
I'll post a pic in a while. :)

I saw on the 3rd gen site that somebody did a turbo for thier car. Even though our cars are different the process is similar, and the way he he does it seems alittle simpler. Does anyone know which way would be better?

what im trying to say is why you haven't build your pass side manifold similar to the driver side? you have spent time and special parts to prevent log from cracking, wasn't it easier just build a proper front facing manifold instead? the way i see it you would spend less in time and $material to do so plus if you route it right , it is possible to squeeze downpipe there and keep your AC if needed.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
